St. Mark's Place and Your Hostel New York
STELS NEW YORK ” width=”300″ height=”225″ />Your hostel New York should be near St. Mark’s Place. If it is there are lots of things to do on this famous street.
It was named after the St. Mark’s Church in-the-Bowery at 10th and 2nd. Today however there are many restaurants and shops worth visiting on this young hip street. The Yaffa Cafe is a famed institution worthy of a bite. Crif Dogs offers some of the best hot dogs in the city if you’re interested in some artery-clogging grub. All of their dogs are wrapped in bacon and covered in delicious toppings. The Spicy
Redneck, with sauerkraut and jalapenos is my personal favorite. And if you aren’t into the bacon, they have original New York style too.
There are lots of tasty ramen bars and Asian restaurants, too. Bubble tea is a specialty on this street. And if you are interested in fine fabric, such as tapestries, the shops on the corner of 2nd avenue have imported options from the Himalayans.
The best part is that even if you aren’t staying in downtown hostels New York you can easily access St. Mark’s Place by taking the 6 train
to Astor Place or the NRW to 8th St. and NYU.
